Blogtember topic for the day: Write a public love letter to someone in your life. (It doesn’t necessarily need to be romantic.)
Dear Little One,
You are growing so quickly now, I find it shocking to look at my bump. My belly has started to visibly move when you kick me, which makes your existence even more real. I have relished being pregnant with you. We go on walks most mornings around the neighborhood. It is my time to slow down and pay attention to you and try to feel how you might be growing. They saying walking can lull an unborn baby to sleep, but sometimes you stay up, kicking me as we walk by neighbors’ houses.
My baby bump has turned into a serious baby belly and is a reminder that you are going to be entering the world soon. I cannot wait. I am so looking forward to all of it. What will you look like? Do you have your dad’s eyes? Do you have my nose? What will your hair look like? Are you be super active or mellow? What will it be like to have a little person to care for and carry around and feed and bathe? I cannot wait to find out.
Right now I carry you with me everywhere. We walk together and read together. You work with me throughout the day. I’m smitten with you already. If I’m going to be honest, I think I am going to miss this bump once you are born. But I cannot wait for the next phase. I cannot wait to meet you. I cannot wait to be a mama and to see your dad be a dada.
You are so loved already!
